Welcome to the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut!
Dear NSF HVT IAB Advisory Board Directors, Site and Center Directors, NSF Program Managers,
We sincerely look forward to meeting all of you at the NSF HVT semiannual meeting at the University of Connecticut on Oct. 16-18, 2017. In 1881 brothers Charles and Augustus Storrs donated land and money to start an agricultural school in Connecticut. Today their gift has become one of the top research universities in the nation. Over the past two decades, UConn and the State of Connecticut have invested billions through UConn 2000 and Next Generation Connecticut initiatives in building STEM infrastructure and academic programs that can meet the state’s and nation’s next generation workforce and technology needs.
Comprising 14 schools and colleges, and enrolling 30,250 students from 46 states and nearly 100 countries. UConn is home to 500+ student clubs and organizations, 300+ study abroad programs, and 100+ majors. Our Huskies have won multiple NCAA championships in men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer, women’s field hockey, men’s polo and women’s polo.
